Airport CabConnect runs a cheap taxi service from our base in Hayes, West London, covering local trips, airport runs and long journeys anywhere in England, Scotland and Wales. A metered taxi charges for time as well as distance, so twenty minutes stuck on the A40 costs you money. A fixed fare is worked out before you travel, so traffic, roadworks and diversions are our problem, not yours. For a short hop at a quiet time, any of the three can be cheapest. For anything planned, longer than a few miles, or at busy times, a pre-booked minicab is usually the cheapest of the three.
In the UK, a minicab must be booked in advance through a licensed operator. A minicab driver who offers you a ride in the street is breaking the law, and the car is unlikely to be insured to carry you. That ride is never cheaper if something goes wrong.
In London, private hire operators, drivers and vehicles are licensed by Transport for London. Outside London, the local council licenses them. Every journey we arrange uses licensed drivers in insured vehicles.
