Southampton’s Five Cruise Terminals

Southampton runs five passenger cruise terminals, Ocean, Queen Elizabeth II (QEII), City, Horizon and Mayflower, each with its own access gate. Ocean and QEII are reached via Dock Gate 4. City and Horizon are reached via Dock Gate 10. Mayflower is reached via Dock Gate 10 on foot or Dock Gate 20 if arriving by vehicle.

Your cruise line’s booking confirmation states which terminal you’re using, and giving us that terminal name when you book, not just “Southampton,” means your driver takes you to the correct gate directly. Official terminal details are on ABP’s Southampton cruise page.

What Time to Book Your Taxi For

Cruise lines assign staggered check-in times to manage passenger flow through the terminal. Arriving more than 15 to 30 minutes before your allocated slot can mean waiting outside rather than being let straight in, according to Southampton’s own visitor guidance.

Book your taxi to arrive around the check-in time printed on your boarding pass, not simply as early as possible.

What to Have Ready When You Book

Give us your ship name and specific terminal (Ocean, QEII, City, Horizon or Mayflower), your sailing date, and whether you need pickup, drop-off, or both for a return booking.

Tell us passenger numbers and luggage, cruise luggage tends to run larger and heavier than a typical airport trip, so a saloon that suits two people with hand luggage often won’t suit two people with cruise-sized cases. Porter or mobility assistance at the terminal is arranged through your cruise line or ABP directly, so raise it with them as well as with us.
